New, but definitely not a newbie.

It was a normal day at Star Command, rangers at their posts, LGMs in the workshop..you know the drill. Thankfully it was the kind of normal 'slow' day. There wasn't much to be done except a few petty calls here and there. Not too far from the main hub of the space station, the sound of light metal-on-metal footsteps echoed in the main walkway from the arrivals in the docking bay.

The owner of the footsteps stopped to survey the surroundings briefly, until urged by the escorting ranger to follow further on. Soft-glowing cyan colored eyes continued to peer around the space station in child-like wonder, not having been in a place like this before. This caused a smile to form across silver lips.

The ranger leading the way began to speak of certain rules to follow while at Star Command, partially as to not anger their higher ups. Or worse, anger Commander Nebula himself. Ew, that wouldn't be a good situation, mental note definitely taken down; "Don't. Anger. Commander. AT ALL." Double underlines for the capital 'at all'.

"Here we are ma'am. Just be careful not to touch anything on his desk.." the ranger stated as the sliding doors opened to Nebula's office. With that, the escort was gone, and the newcomer was left waiting for Commander.

Renee bounced down the halls, ready for some new project to work on. She felt a little warmer towards star command for some reason today, and had heard that there was someone new aboard today. Commander Nebula was coming down the hall to his office. "Morning commander." She nodded at him breifly before he went inside.

Jill sighed deeply. Another day of failing at getting on a new team...course...having the most important ranger as your father didn't help the matter either. At least she could put her request for permission to carry a weapon in. He couldn't denie her that.

In the Commander's office, sitting patiently in a visitor's seat, was a female, humanoid robot. She had one leg crossed over the other, swaying her hanging foot just a little as she waited for anyone to come in and speak to her. On her lap sat a large book, her attention on the page she was on.

The bot had a small lab coat on with some nice civilian clothing to work with it. The cables that made up her 'hair' were in a loose braid that hung over her right shoulder. What was most prominent though, were those optics of hers; bright cyan-blue.

Commander Nebula opened the door to his office and sat down in front of the robot. He was startled for a second by her bright cyan eyes but didnt say anything. He tapped his fingers onthe desk to get her attention.

It didn't take much for the bot to look up, putting away her book at the same time. She nodded, " Commander." she greeted him, her voice clear and unwaivered. " I had been called to assist with the engineering, am I correct?"

She then held out a data-pad with her information on it. " Samara Fifer, A.I. serial number 100-9110. Engineering, computer software development, data inquiry..etc. At your services, sir."

"Excellent." the Commander nodded. "you can start in the science lab, Samara, with the LGMs"

" Alright." she said, standing slowly, replacing her book back into the side-bag she carried with her. As Nebula got back up as well, she spoke; " Commander, if I may. What exactly needs to be looked over first?" Samara asked, following Nebula.

He put a finger to his lip. "A lot of thing. I suggest you start with the security systems. The LGMs should be able to give you a run through of everything." He opened the science bay doors.

Jill looked surprise as the doors swooshed opened before she could hit the button. Standing tall she saluted the Commander. "Commander Nebula."

Samara nodded at the Commander's words, she smiled, " This will be interesting then. I've not met an LGM before. I've heard of them, but never encountered them." she chuckled.

Upon the opening of the science bay doors, Sam gasped slightly at the surprise of another ranger standing in front of them.

Renee looked over in suprise from her place at a worktable, tinkering with old bot parts for practice. Her robotic eye glowed for a second- this must be the new recruit. And Buzz lightyear was already trying to talk to her.

"Hello, you must be the new engineer." Buzz smiled.

Samara shook off the momentary surprise, her eyes focusing on the new person greeting them. Buzz Lightyear. THE Buzz Lightyear. Wow, now if anything was an honor, it was meeting the pride of Star Command's rangers.

Unlike many others, Samara would not gush; she knew of Ranger Lightyear and his endeavors, but she was professional with anyone she met. However, that did not stop her from giving him a smile in greeting as she would to anyone, even Commander Nebula.

" Ah, Mr. Lightyear. Good to finally meet you. " Sam stated, reaching a hand out and shaking his, " Yes, I am. Samara Fifer."

"Pleasure to meet you to." The ranger nodded at Samara.

Renee was kind of glad the bot didn't gush over Buzz. she hated it when people did that because it was so annoying. She decided to greet the new engineer and got up. With a flick of her tail she nodded curtly to the new robot. "Welcome to Star Command."

Samara nodded in turn, her eyes shifting over to Renee;

"Welcome to Star Command."

The female bot smiled at her as well, nodding. " Where do I start?"

Renee shrugged. "Im not sure. What are you looking for?"

Buzz shrugged and went off. He was busy with the daily stuff- missions, paperwork, the normal

Samara shrugged a little, watching as Commander Nebula left them to their own devices. It was fine with Samara, she'd figure something out. " I was told to maybe talk to the LGMs...I think?" she said, unsure what to say, but the bot would not be worried.

" I'm Samara. What's your name?"

"Renee."The girl smiled. She shrugged. Her bionic eye glowed for a second. "As for talking to the LGMs, I think thats right." she waved over a few of the little green men.

Samara gave Renee a wide smile. Her features highlighted by the neon areas that glowed a slight bit, turning slightly brighter. It wouldn't take long to realize those neon areas would change color or brightness depending on the fembot's mood.

" Oooo!" was the only thing Samara could utter, having never seen LGMs before.

Renee was a little unnerved by the fembots smile. She had really never seen an LGM? "These are my favorite little people on Star Command." The girl smiled. "Other than XL, of course."

"Hello." One of the little aliens began quickly. "So we're going to start with the security system. We need to work on the cameras in here first." Renee followed, tail flicking back and forth curiosly

Jill was walking by the labs as she was trying to get an offical signature of her gun permit. She took a quick look as she saw the new cyborg in the labs. "Oh!" She said as she walked in. "Hello there." She smiled sweetly at the cyborg. "Jillian Lightyear, you are?"

Samara gave an embarrassed chuckle upon seeing Renee's face, " Aheh..sorry." she said before looking at the LGMs " Alright, show me where to go and I will get to work.
" Sam added before following the LGMs and Renee farther into the lab.

Upon hearing a new voice greet her, Samara turned and gave a nod of greeting, " Oh, hello there! I'm Samara, the new engineer."

Renee nodded. She reached up to touch the side of her eye carefully. Jill came up and greeted Samara. "Morning, Jill."

"Morning Renee." She said with a smile to her friend.

"So, Samara," Renee turned to the fembot. "How did you find yourself on this floating deathtrap?"
