Neil gave a tired yawn as he laid down next to Avaric, wreastling with those cheaters took alot out of him. Kipper glared as he tried to drag Ginger towards the door by the seat of her diaper.

'Smelly little free loaders!' he hissed.

Renee didn't notice and kept talking. Ginger whined and giggled, and turned around and wrapped her arms around Kipper. She wrestled him to the ground.

Avaric, looking Neil over curiously, sat down closer to him.

Neil just snuggled into the carpet and fell asleep. This plush carpet felt good on his skin.

'Gah!' Kipper hissed as he tried to kick the kitten off him. 'Get off me you lump of fat and stink!'

Ginger kept hold of the Marten and rolled around. Her paws found his face and covered his mouth and nose roughly. She was playing just a bit too rough.

Avaric jumped down on top of him.

Neil gave a shriek and began to cry. What just landed on him? It hurt!

"Oh, Neil!" Jill said as she scooped her baby up. "Shh, it's okay. Mommy's here."

'That's it!' Kipper hissed as he bit down hard on Ginger's hand. If this kept up, she'd sufficate him to death.

Avaric looked up, shocked at the mistake he had apparently made. He backed away slightly from the crying Neil and whimpered.

Ginger's scream ripped through the room. Her hand was bleeding badly. She hadn't meant to hurt Kip.

"Kipper!" Renee grabbed him by the nape of his neck, shocked.

Renee shook her head tiredly. "Kip, they're just babies. Leave them be and be nice or I WILL get rid of you." She didn't want to, but if that was what it took she was willing.

Ginger ran to Jill, limpig ad lookig for somfort from her aching and bleeding paw.

Gently placing Neil down, Jill picked Ginger up and treated her wound. "What did we learn from this, Miss Ginger?" Jill said as she scolded the kitten.

'Fine! You already replaced me!' Kipper hissed as he slinked off.

"Don't pway wif the meany ferret!" Ginger cried immediately. All the kittens had somehow bee covinced that Kipper was a ferret, and that he was very, very mean.

Renee shook her head sadly. "Jill, I love kip, but he's beomig such a handful with these kids."

"I think you need to give him more attention," Jill explained. "And teach the kids that he's old and needs his space." She had worked with Ed the whole time she was pregnat so he wouldn't feel jelouse of the new baby. It had worked surpisingly well (despite Myka's claims that it wouldn't last.)

Renee nodded quietly. "I don't know what he was paying attetion to the entire time I was pregnant, and when we fixed up the nursery." She shook her head. "You're right. I'll try to keep the kittens away from him better, and try to be a little more caring. My only problem is that he'll get more violent."

"Renee, he's old. He barely has any teeth left, just trim his nails and keep the kittens from attacking him and I'm sure he'll go back to being normal." Jill said as she mended Ginger's wound.

Renee chuckled. "You're right. I'll do just that." She took her daughter back and uzzled her getly, kissing the wound. "I'm sorry baby doll. Is momy's little girl okay?" Ginger was only one of her little girls, but it made them both feel special. "Ca you forgive kippy?"

'I won't' Kipper hissed as he was dragging his food dish out. 'I'm leaving! Enjoy your little fat sacks of stink, 'Mommy'. This marten is gone!' He headed for the door.

Renee could't help but chuckle a little at the sight. She knew he couldn't open the door himself. The woma sat down Ginger and lifted Kipper into her arms, stroking him. "I'm sorry Kip. Why don't I get you some more food and change the papers i your cage? Let's go little boy." She carried him away to the back quietly.

'It's too late for sorries babe.' Kipper sniffed. 'I know when I'm not wanted. I'll just go out into the cold cruel world all by myself.' He slinked in her arms. 'Alone, hungry and abandon. Just think of me when you're changing those little homewreckers, and what could have been.' He sighed dramactily.

Renee rolled her eyes ad continued stroking him. Lets face it, the marte was weak to her and would evetually break. "Oh, alright sweets, let's get you some fish sticks too. You can sleep in my room tonight." She offered.

Merrick decided to try again and took the book to Jill before setting down and nuzzlig her, givig the largest, cutest purple eyes he could. "Pwease wead?"

Merrick smiled and listened to every word intently. The other kittes gathered around her, noddig off one by one. Eventually, when jill finished, the purple kitten joied his family and friends in the nap.

Jonah waved Judus and Renee away, smiling. "Don't worry, the kittens wil be fine." He shut the door ad looked all five of them over, than at Mary. "What first?" He smiled

Jonah huffed. He was growing rather tired of her cold attitude and would ot stand for it any longer. "Mary, these are our son's children. Spend some time with them, learn to love them. You weren't nearly this cold to Judus."

Mary, her grandmother's namesake, wormed her way up onto the couch with Mary. "Whatcha readin Granmy?" She asked reluctantly. a bit frightened but adeventerous eough to face the drago.

Mary said as she looked to her granddaughter. "I'm reading a grown-up book that isn't ment for little ones." Closing it she put it away. "Why don't you run over to the bookshelf and Granmy will read whatever book you pick."
