That was quite interesting. When I read the title at first I thought "oh, this is probably another take on the first bite" - but I stand corrected xD
I don't think I've seen anyone yet who has taken this approach; so it was rather refreshing ^^

I'd have to object on
XR's eyes weren't even programmed to be able to be red, just yellow and green or act like a flashlight.
We see his eyes get red in other episodes as well (Like "Head Chase"); though who knows - maybe we can pass this off as a remaining side effect ;D

To be honest, I actually forgot that XR's eyes turn red in later episodes, hence the line in the story. ^^; However, I don't really want to take it out or replace it, so I'll go with your idea of it being a remaining side effect. <3
