Renee, under her fur, went pale. But she smiled. "Sure, Mary." She walked around to the kitchen with her. "What is it?"

"I know that I haven't been the best mother-in-law. In fact I've been a perfect stereotype." She took a breath and continued. "But I've always felt that you were hiding something from me, from everyone." Her face was blank and emotionless.

The girl looked down. So it had come to this, finally. "Well, Mary.... I don't really feel comfortable about it. But if you're concerned about Judus, yes I've told him. It's just not exactly a safe secret."

Mary nodded. "If Judas knows, and is fine with it, then that's good enough for me." Her mouth formed a very small smile. She walked up to Renee and gave her a kiss on the forehead and hugged her. "I'm happy my son found you and made you part of our family."

The Zephyrite looked surprised, her hair standing on end, befre she hugged her back for a moment. "I'm glad to be part of this family as well Mary. Thank you."

Later that night the couple was lying in bed together, Renee curled protectively around her belly. Suddenly she blinked. The girl felt like she had just wet the bed. She managed* sorely, to check the clock- four A.M. "judus." She wheezed, shaking him. "Its time!"

Judus sat up and looked at her. "On it!" He snapped a pair of gloves on and got to work. Soon, all three kittens were born.

Renee was, once again, apprehensive about seeing them. Well, two of them. They had lost the runt, the third. But it wasn't a shocking development.

As promised, they were all girls. The both looked almost completely Naga, too.

Judus smiled a little as he wrapped the kittens up before handing them to Renee.

She looked at both, nuzzling them. They were much larger than the first litter had been, almost but not quite the size of human children. "You did wonderful dear." She kissed his nose.

The kittens, or whatever you wanted to call them, squirmed.

Judus bit his lip a little, before he stopped and held the girl close. Suddenly he put his hand on her chest then began cpr.

She smiled back as he wrapped her up, laying the child with her mother. Renee yawned. "We can tell my parents in the morning..." But then she realized it was nearly six.

Two days later, Ed was asleep on the floor of the living room when he heard the door of the family's car close. Getting up he walked to the front door where his beloved owner walked in with a tiny pink bundle of blankets. 'What's this?' He thought as he sniffed it.

Renee had her parents over to see the three new kittens. The one with gold hair, Hannah, was doing much better. The other two, one with brown hair named Josie and one with purple hair she had left Judus to name, were equally healthy.

Ed looked shocked, then his tail started to go a mile a mintue. 'Another friend?! Best day ever!' He showered Sally's face with kisses.

Renee sat up and smiled in response. "Hey, Jonah!" The woman called. "In the nursery!" The girls had curled up, not feeding at the moment. She was finishing buttoning her shirt as they entered.

Ed was in bliss as Neil tugged on his tail. "Nooo! Eddy's MY friend! Not yours!" He snapped as he tried to get the huge dog away from his new sister.
