While Buzz and Warp hung around each other, Ty was waiting for Simone near the entrance. They were able to talk to each other a few weeks before the dance and get to know each other through their classes and through Buzz and the others. Simone had started to open up quite well, around Ty. He noticed how she seemed more confident in herself and how she seemed more at ease with other people.

He hoped that she would feel at ease now at this event. She didn't disappoint. He felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned to face the owner of the tap, and there Simone was, standing in front of him. She wore a cobalt dress and her black hair was pulled back into a bun.

"...Hi, Ty."

"There they are." Alan pointed at Ty from his place by the punch bowl with Buzz and Warp. Man, Simone looked pretty tonight... "In my opinion." He looked bac at Ginger, who was talking with Ozma. "Ty lucked up."

"Says you." Warp smirked as he walked back to his two dates. Buzz shook his head before turning back to Alan.

"Have to admit, Ty did get a pretty sweet deal." He joked.

Ty smiled at how pretty she looked. Simone shyly glanced to the side yet looked at Ty from her sideways glance.

"Well, let's go meet the others, shall we?" Ty asked, as he put out an arm to escort Simone. "After you, Ty." She replied politely. She took his arm, and they went to meet up with the others.

Ty and Simone walked over to where Alan, Buzz, Warp, and their dates hung around.

They greeted the others with a friendly hello, while Ozma just simply nodded in acknowledgement.

Ty nearly made a face at Ozma's remark but ignored it. Instead, he replied, "Well, aside from all the blood, sweat and tears we poured into our training in and out, I'd say we made it out okay."

Simone smiled at that remark. "I agree. I was so nervous passing my medical exams...I can't believe I was able to pass them."

"And that's why you're one of the few good rangers who actually care." Ozma replied to Ty as she sipped her drink. "You actually worked hard for your grades, while some..." She pointed to Warp who was talking to his two dates.

Ty looked at where Ozma was pointing at, and he rolled his eyes.

Simone just chuckled, but hid it under a hand.

Alan snickered too. It was true, warp didn't work so hard for his grades. "Ninety percent of our work was the blood and sweat, right Ty?"

Ty snorted in response to Alan's question. "What do you think?" He rubbed his arm where his old bruises used to be. "But at least the blood and sweat was worth it."

Simone gave a look of sympathy towards Ty.

"Yeah, for you maybe." Alan pointed his glass of punch at the rookie ranger. "I did it all to be stuck on the ship while the rest of my team," He motioned at Buzz, Ty, and Warp. "Are out blasting hornets."

Ty assured Alan, "Alan, you got the chance to get some action, too. Remember when the Hornets came up close to the ship and you blasted them out of the stratosphere?"

Ty smiled in amusement watching Alan's attempts to swoon her. He was thinking of doing the same thing, but watching Simone's blushing face made him change his mind.

Simone turned red as a Jo-Adian beet. She shied away, trying to make herself disappear. She mumbled out, "Th-thanks, Alan."

Ty sent a quick and small glare to Alan before suggesting, "Hey, why don't we go to the dance floor, Sim?"

Simone perked up at Ty's name for her. "...'Sim'?"

"Cute." Ginger smiled. She turned to Alan. "Well, are we going to hit the floor to?"

"Uhm... Yeah, yeah lets go." Alan held her by the arm and walked her out onto the floor behind Ty
