Ginger smiled and went to make dinner.

Alan sat in the floor in front of her, setting out some colorful blocks of letters. There was an entire alphabet. "What do you like to play Jilly?"

Jill looked at the blocks before stacking them. She liked to play this game! Alan smiled at her. Maybe this wouldn't be so hard as Buzz said it would-

"OW!" He yelled as Jill made the tower she built fall on him.

He rubbed the knot on his head bit tried to chuckle. "Uh... how about we play with Dr. Hops-A-Long?" He held up the bunny

She squealed as she was given her beloved toy. She cuddled it lovingly. Alan smiled at her. She started to crawl off with her toy.

It was a nursery. Or it would be. For now it was only an empty whelping box, a shelf, a chest of drawers, a toybox, and a rocking chair. Alan rushed in and grabbed her, frowning embarrasedly. "Sorry Jilly. This is your room for tonight."

"I dunno! She was fine one second, then she started to cry!" Alan said in a panic as Ginger took the kitten from him. Jill whined and sobbed as Ginger held her close.

The woman stroked her hair gently. "It's okay..." She began to hum. "Hush little kitten don't say a word, for finner momma's going to cook you a whole bird. And if that bird doesn't taste very good, momma's gonna get you a coat with a hood." She didn't remember the song well and shrugged at Alan
