Antimatter 2

After a long day of working, Jill returned home and sluggishly dumped her things by the front door. Her father wouldn't be home for hours, so she had the house to herself for a bit. Smiling she saw that Ed was sleeping on the couch. "Right where I left you." She smiled, then frowned a bit as one of her baby albums was opened on the coffe table. "But not where I left you." She said as she picked it up and held it in her hands. "How did-" She stopped as Ed picked his head up as a creak was heard behind her. Before she could react, something smacked into her back causing her to hit the floor.

"Welcome home." Before she blacked out, Jill could of sworn, she just heard a live recording of her own voice.

Buzz came in, expecting to find her home. When she wasn't he went to the kitchen, planning to call and see if she was still at work. Ed was hiding under a chair. "Hey buddy. Whats the matter?"

Alternate Renee was sitting by a pool on Rhizome, with XR and Nos as usual. She had just about moved their permanently, and it wasn't hard to tell why knowing her father.

Buzz stopped as he could feel something was wrong. He looked to the front door and saw that Jill's things were there, but...there was no sign of her. "What the-" He began as Ed whimpered. Looking down he saw Ed was trembling.

Jill slowly began to wake up as she regain consciousness. She quickly came to her senses when she saw she was tied to a chair. "What the-?"

"Glad to see you awake." A silky voice alerted her to someone sitting in a chair before her. A shadowy figure was looking threw her baby album as a 4 eyed albino tiger laid next to the chair, head on the lap of her kidnapper. Jill glared at her captor.

"I don't know who you are, or how you knew my weakness, but-"

"I'm afraid you're wrong dear. You DO know who I am." The figure sat forward and reviled to be...her. Jill blinked at her perfect double. "I'm you."

The girl sighed and yawned, putting down her drink. "XR, how are things with the alternate universe?"

"Know, you're probably thinking, what am I doing here?"

"Amoung other things that aren't lady like to say." Good Jill growled. Closing the album, AU Jill got up as Commander Stripes yawned and laid down.

"I need your help." Looking at the girl, she walked over to her wardrobe and pulled out the same outfit Jill had on now. Good Jill raised an eyebrow. "Well, not you per say, but your life."

"Seems pretty okay last time I checked." XR smiled as he drank his oil.

Buzz was about to call the team when the front door opened. Turning he saw Jill walk in.

"I just had to go out for...something I'd forgot." Jill said as she walked to the stairs. "Night." She paused a bit before looking at Buzz uncomfortably. "Dad." Buzz raised an eyebrow at her.

"You...okay there, Jelly Belly?" Jill blinked then nodded.

"Never better, why?"

"You just see a little off tonight is all." He put a hand on her shoulder and squeezed gently. "Did something happen?"

"N-no. I'm fine." Jill smiled at him sweetly. "But, Thamks for asking, dad." She hugged him tightly. Buzz blinked a bit as he gently returned the hug.

Her ears dropped. "The me from nice Buzz's universe? What happened to her?" The girl turned around to look at XR.

He smiled gently as she went up to bed. Yep. There was definitely something wrong.

Laying on the bed, Jill looked up at the ceiling as Ed walked in and placed his head on the edge. Smiling she gently petted the dog. "I know you want your Jill back." She whispered. "But I need to do something first, and this is the only way to do it without getting anyone hurt." She waited till Buzz went to bed and was asleep before going downstairs and began looking threw the bookshelves. It had to be here...

Jill grumbled under her breath. Where the hell was it? She pulled a book off the shelf right as the lights came on.

'Craters, I thought he was asleep.' She thought bitterly. "I...was..." Jill tried to think of a good exscue as she hid the book behind her back.

Putting the book back, she noticed her parents't wedding album next to it. Gently taking the book out, she looked over the photos of her mother. "...What was she like?" She asked Buzz.

Jill smiled as she listened with great intress. After a while, she frowned a little, and Buzz saw this.

"Sweetie? You okay?" He asked as he gently squeeze her shoulder.

"Do you...do you ever blame me? For her death?" Jill asked as she looked at him.
