"You okay bud?" Renee stroked him carefully, filing away the printed pages of the criminal record.

'I've got all the hair ripped off my tail, got some stinky stuff on it that burns worse then a open wound with salt dumped into it. So, no I'm not.' He grumbled.

"Good." Jill snapped as Buzz glared at her tone. Ed whined as he nuzzled against Buzz's leg. 'Grampa...my ears hurt from that nasty marten...go blast him.'

"Eddy's a jerk huh?" she tried to make him look less, you know, moody.

"I'll be glad that the marten will be gone after today." Buzz crossed his arms.

"See? So I have no reason to apologize to her." Jill snapped. Buzz looked at her sadly. Renee was like a little sister to Jill. It was terrible to see her act like this.

'Jerk is putting it mildly.' Kipper growled as he sat like a peeved off cat.

Even if buzz didn't like or trust renee he didnt want jill to go on thining she was bad. "Why dont you go do something together, maybe take myka and judus? She wont be back for a long," he sighed, "Long time."

"Psh. No." Jill snapped. "Not untill she apologizes to me and Eddy." Ed was curled up on her lap sleeping, still shaking a bit. "Untill then, I'm not going to even look in her general direction."

Renee sighed. half an hour until lift off. she got up and tucked kip into his cage. Might as well pack load her bags into the ship. Carrying the heaavy suitcases down the hall, she ran into Judus.

"Hey, heard you and Jill had a fight," Judus said looking at her worringly. "Everything alright between the two of you?" He asked. He hated it when such close friends fought.

"It's fine." Renee spat. She tried to walk past him but stopped. "Could you carry kip's cage for me?" She offered the cage, which was among many bags. she was leaving alone.

"Sure, but why don't you get Jill to help out too?" Judus asked as he took the cage. Kipper nuzzled up against his hand. 'Daddy, lets just forget the witch and her useless dog, alright?'

"Naw, I'd hate to keep poor stupid eddy from his momma." The girl hissed and slowly went down the hall to th ship. She was flying robo taxi, a business relative of Robofreighter.

"Renee..." Judus began as he put a hand on her shoulder. "Jill's just being over protective of Eddy. She doesn't have the privllage you do with Kipper. She can't keep him or be too close to him."

"True." The girl shrugged. "But the stupid dog eeps trying to bite kip's tail off." She loaded the cases into the back, waving to the bot up front. It was ind of sad to be leaving.

"Then I'll hold him when you talk to her." Judus said as Kipper was chewing on a bar he gave him. "You two shouldn't be fighting over this. Not today." He would hate it if Renee regreted this later.

"Fifteen minutes." The auto pilot reminded her. She nodded.

Judus put Kipper in the back seat as Renee walked away.

Jill was typing on her computer when Ed's ears perked up andwhimpered as he hid under the desk. "Eddy? What's wrong-" She began as Renee walked in.

Renee sat on the desk and petted Ed's back almost resentfully. "Hey, I wanted to say bye before I leave." She looked at the ground, not ashamed but not wanting jill to see the distaste in her eye.

"...Oh...well...bye." Jill said. She knew Ed got what he deserved, but he was still a baby, he didn't know better. She was sorry for what she had said though. Renee didn't deserve that.

"Stay in touch?" she offered. Jill had her phone number, and she didn't want to be completely disconnected from her friends here. Despite Master's warnings, she had gotten used to making amends with her friends.

"Of course I will goober." Jill smiled at her. Sure she was mad at Kipper. But Renee was still her best friend. Ed was shaking in fear as Renee pet him 'Aunty's going to beat me! She will I just know it!'

Renee picked Ed up into her lap with a smile and petted him nicely. she could feel him shaking. The cat nuzzled him warmly. "you now, for a dog you're kind of cute." She looked back to jill. "I'll admit, kips got an ego on him."

"Oh, he'll be fine when he loosens up." Renee chuckled. "He shouldnt have torn up Ed's ears." The girl paused consideringly. "Man, i hoped our real kids dont beat on eachother like this."

Renee laughed, both at Jill and Ed's behavior. "I might actually miss you, big guy." She scratched his belly. "And true. Your's would probably kick mine to beta." She smiled and checed her watch. Five minutes left
