First Roleplay (Open to All)

(Since no one's started one yet, I may as well start one to get things going. Whomever wants to join in, go ahead and do so, and claim a character. The plot is liable to change as people join in, but hey, it makes things interesting. So...)

ZOOM! A dark blue blur soared by the sunny Capital Planet Coastline, speeding along the sand. Specks of sand flew up everywhere into the air and ground. A few people on the beach had gotten a few specks of sand in their faces, but the blur was too fast for them to see what it was. To the naked eye, one could have completely missed this blur and thought it was the wind.

But it was no wind. Pixel, a dustchaser and Space Ranger cyborg, ran low to the ground across the sands, as if she was flying with her forelegs stretched out in front of her. Her ears lay back on her head, forced to rest on top of her head to withstand her speed. She was grinning with determination, as she usually does when she's racing. She was not racing today, however.

Ranger Mira Nova was on vacation on Capital Planet, with Buzz and the rest of Team Lightyear. She smiled as she saw Pixel racing, she was always amazed at how fast the dustchaser would go. She giggled and noticed how XR was trying to remain hidden from Pixel's view.
"So Buzz, did Commander Nebula give a reason for us being here?" She asked, she wanted to start laughing when she looked over at him. He looked very unhappy at being forced to relax, his arms were folded and he was wearing a green tartan dressing gown complete with sun hat.

While Team Lightyear was relaxing on their vacation on the coast, Pixel was running to complete errands for Dr. Ozma Furbanna, her old owner and partner. She had been running around to check on the animals from around the city, the coast, and other places on Capital Planet. It was a compromise Buzz came up with to let Pixel stay with the Space Rangers, yet maintain contact with Dr. Furbanna since Ozma couldn't always go to Capital Planet to check on the animals on Capital Planet.

Pixel was almost done with her errands, and so, she was now pushing herself to run across the sands to get her last errand done. Although she didn't look tired, inside she was exhausted. But she dare not let anyone see; she had a job to do.

While she ran across the sand, she saw Team Lightyear on the beach. A mischievous grin planted itself on her face; she had an idea.

Mira looked up as Pixel neared them and tried not to laugh at XR's panicked look. She saw Pixel's face and decided to talk to her, "Hey Pixel, so um what have you been up too?" She asked.

Pixel slowed down in front of Mira, and stopped running. She saw XR, but she was busy trying to catch her breath.

And as Pixel panted, she "spoke" via her collar, "Hi...there...Mira. I've..been...running around all day. Dr. Furbanna sent me doing these errands."

Renee paced slowly up the beach, sheilding her good eye from the sand and waiting for her father to finish paying for a snocone and talking to the vendor. Suddenly the wind picked up and something flashed down the beach in a blur. This wouldn't have phased her, but her robotic eye went nuts. Whatever it was that had just flown by was a living thing. "Dad?" She looked over her shoulder at Alan, who still had his lback turned. She shrugged and walked down the beach after the speeding creature and was suprised to find the rangers only a few hundred yards down the beach. "Hey guys!" She waved extatically, running up to them in her one peice.

Pixel's ears perked up after she stopped in front of Team Lightyear at someone calling out to them. She turned to see a female cat person running up to them. Pixel tilted her head in confusion; she had never seen this person before. How did she know Team Lightyear?

Mira looked over at where Pixel was looking and smiled, "Hey Renee, how are you?" She called out to her, she saw XR relax as Pixel's attention was diverted.

XR was glad Pixel's attention was diverted; he hated it when she picked on him. He turned to Mira and whispered in her ear, "Where's Ty? I thought she was going with him to Rhizome for guard duty. Not that I'm scared of her, because we all know I'm not scared of her fangs, claws...and attitude." He shrunk back a little.

Pixel heard that comment, but she rolled her eyes ignored it. She was curious about this "Renee" person.


"Mira, who is she?" She asked.

[Ooc, I actually have never read that fanfic....I don't really read fanfics with OC's in them. How does she know Team Lightyear?]

(uber sorry for leaving you guys hanging! i had to go to my grandmas~ but im kind of starting after my stories events. there was this whole big thing with Nos locking everyone in the theatre a revenge attempt with Ty and XR and blah and Renee got her eye ripped out by Kindle, blah blah blah)

Renee glanced at Pixel, smiling. "Its a long story." She shrugged, flicking an ear. She looked at XR and blushed. "No hard feeling about, you know, repairing your worst enemy right? I mean it pretty much maes us even since you threw my out of a second- story window all those years ago."
Alan ran up behind her about then. "Why do you have to run off like that?" he whined, then noticed Buzz. "Why if it isn't one of my old buddies! How ya doin, lightyear? And...." He trailed off when he came to Mira. "Im sorry, can't remember your name. You look familiar though."

Hmm...May I ask if you posted a picture of Renee onto the forum into the OC section? It would make things a bit easier so that everyone can know who she is, is all. ^^]

Pixel's eyebrows shot up and her ears perked up. Through her collar, she "asked", "How do you know I can talk with the collar? I didn't say a word!"

Pixel and the other Rangers saw another cat person, this one a male, walk up behind them. She didn't say a word as he walked up to them. The dustchaser walked up to him and he let her sniff his hand. He never saw the dustchaser before, but he had heard about her from Buzz. He didn't know she could "speak", however.

Renee looked away from XR, suprised for a second. "Oh, sorry..." She mumbled at Pixel. "I heard you ask Mira who I was."

Pixel was about to say something while she was sniffing Alan's hand when he asked, "Why are you talking to this...dog?"

Pixel's mischievous grin returned. She looked up at him. "Because I can, of course!" Alan stopped in surprise and asked..."Did that dog just say "Because I can, of course"?

renee laughed. "Dad, do you still have that thing against dogs because of Kindle? My gosh." She patted Pixel on the head. "Look at this." She got to her knees, examining Pixel's collar. "A translator. Thats why she can talk."
XR swallowed uncomfortably. "Renee, you've got an eye for detail."
She poked him on top of the head with an extended claw playfully. "Calm down, XR, im not going to sick anyone on you."
Buzz's eye twitched. "What are you doing on capital planet anyway, Alan?" He asked, taking off his glasses.
Alan took another lap at his melting snocone. "You guys know the war is over, right? We moved back to Zephyr! No more little mudball earth. And no more Mrs. Andromeda."

Pixel was wagging her tail at being petted. As Renee explained to her father about her collar, Pixel said, "That's right. My old master and partner, Dr. Ozma Furbanna, made me this collar so that I can talk to other people!" She stopped wagging her tail, and said, "Ah, craters, I gotta finish my errand!"

Pixel smiled with mischief. "Ah, relax, tin can. Just be glad I've got an errand to finish so that I don't have to pick on you. Besides, I'd get into trouble with Buzz if I did anything!" She snorted.

Pixel's eyes widened. She grunted in a questioning tone, and mentioned with her nose the claw. "How did you do that?

Pixel tilted her head, but before she could ask, Booster asked, "Who's Andromeda?"

Mira looked over at Renee, as she was also curious, So um to back up Booster's question Renee, who is Andromeda?" She asked.

Before Renee or her father could answer, Pixel's collar went off. A beeping sound emitted from the right side of her collar. A light blue Star Command emblem was blinking on and off.

"Someone's trying to contact me." She explained to Renee and her dad. With her tail, she pushed the side of her collar, and the beeping stopped. She literally barked, "This is Pixel. Who am I speaking to?"

"Pixel, I need that report on the space whales ASAP." Dr. Ozma Furbanna's voice rang out.

Renee watched Pixel dash off, gone in an instant, and turned back to booster and Mira. "I don't expect you guys to personally care, but I'm sure booster recalls the Shragarakian boy who attacked me. I mean, your the only one who tired to stop him." Alan grimaced at the memory of all that chaos, and how he didnt have the chance to stop it. "But his name was Kindle Andromeda, one of my good friends, actually." She looked at the ground, away from XR. "His mother, Mrs. Andromeda, never really forgave me. I can't even explain the torment she put me through after he died."
Booster winced. "That bad, huh?"

Pixel winced at Dr. Furbanna's tone, and said, "I'm on my way to finish the job now. I'll have the report sent to you lickity split!" Dr. Furbanna's voice rang out, "You had better. I need it now!" Pixel responded, "I'm on it. Over and out!" She pushed the button again to stop the call.

"I gotta go. See ya guys later!" She then made a dash and ran down the beach. As she did, she wondered more about this Renee person.

XR sighed in relief that Pixel was gone. He turned to Renee and said, "So this Andromeda person wants to kill you and torture you to death after what happened to her son? I'm not going to ask because that'd be rude of me...but how did it happen?"

renee smiled. "I don't think she was intent on really killing me, but yeah she wasnt happy at the fact that kindle died because of me."
Alan broke in. "She never understood much about the fact that kindle had a brain tumor."
"Yeah. I guess you wouldn't know what really happened, would you XR?" She laughed a little hysterically to herself. "You were getting chased around by Nos after all. Well, Kindle apparently had been developing a brain tumor in the center of his brain. He was losing control of his hostility, but had nowhere to aim it until his father was-" She gulped. "Killed in action by a sharpshooter. He took after me during that big chaotic thing that happened during the play. He chased me up the stairs and ripped out my eye, then i accidentaly kicked him into a ventilation fan. After nearly falling, Nos saved me. Happy XR? Im the reason Nos didn't kill you that night."
XR scowled. "YOUR the reason he was there in the first place."
Buzz palmed him in the back of the head impatiently, but agreed inside.
"Im sorry, Ok?" Renee fell into a beach chair with a sigh. "But now its all over. Water two years under the bridge."

XR turned away, his arms crossed. Buzz sighed and sat down next to her on one side, her father on the other. Buzz said, "Yes, it is. And you're going to start a new life. Actually, we were sent by Commander Nebula on a vacation here, but it'll be over pretty soon since we actually have to get back to work the next day. Do you want to help us?"

Renee cocked an eyebrow. "'new life' sure. Exactly what are you needinng help with? A mission, or just relaxing.?"
Alan rolled his eyes. Renee, miss sarcastic.
XR flailed his arms in dissaproval. "Come on, look who you're talking to here!"
Booster frowned at XR. "Would you cut that out? YOURE just mad that no ones agreeing with you."
"Am not!"
"Are so!"
Renee, Buzz, and Alan all stared for a moment, then went back to the conversation. "In all seriousness." Renee closed her mismatched eyes and held up a paw. "Exactly what do you guys need help with?"

Buzz looked at Booster and XR to keep them quiet. He turned to answer Renee's question. "Commander Nebula sent us to relax, yes, but soon afterwards, once our vacation's done, we've got to check out the Capital Planet Park. Strange noises have been occurring on and off and the people are getting annoyed about it. We have to investigate it."
