"No!" Renee grabbed kipper and carefully removed her tiny son from his mouth. "They will be staying until they're all grown up, so play nice. Remember when you were a baby? they are babies, like little versions of me and judus." She hoped he would calm down. Either that or he would have to stay in his cage or be gotten rid of.

'Why are we keeping these things?!' Kipper hissed. 'Aren't I enough? Why do you need these little ticks for?' He got puffy as he slinked out of the box. 'Smelly little rat balls.' He hissed. He hoped they'd be gone soon.

==Weeks later==

Jill was carring little Neil in her arms as she walked up the steps of the Hissgot home. She had a playdate with the kittens and her son.

Renee was handling the kittens like a pro, waiting on jill. they were excited, chattering and cooing. The cat-children grew faster then humans mental wise in their first year. Avaric was balanced in her lap, still smaller than the rest, napping. He was quiet and withdrawn already, with watery grey eyes.

Merrick and maverick had both tried to become leaders and wrestled playfully almost constantly.The scaly one was stronger but Merrick seemed to be a bit more strategic. "Hey jill," she smiled and opened the door.

"Hey Renee. How's the pride doing?" Jill joked as she placed Neil on the floor. Kipper was sulking nearby.

'Why haven't these things left yet?!' he hissed as Ginger was chewing on his tail.

"Fantastic," She laughed a little. Ginger seemed to get into everything. She got up and sat Avaric down, waking him up. He whined for a moment and climbed down off the couch, not wanting to approach Neil just yet. She picked the girl away from Kip. "Oh lighten up, kip, you know the kittens love you."

Mary flying-tackled Jill's ankle playfully. She rolled on the floor.

"Cute little terrors." Jill smiled as Neil waited for one of the kittens to approch him. "Kipper still hasn't warmed up to them yet, huh?" She smiled as the maten slinked away, spit soaked tail dragging behind him.

"No," Renee frowned. "He hates them more than he hated Ed." That was alot.

Merrick came foreward, having lost the fight, to look at this newcomer.

"Goob" Neil babbled as he tried to pet the kitten near him.

"Ed loves Neil." Jill smiled. "He'll sleep under his crib at night and stays by his side when he's awake like he's protecting him 24/7."

Merrick took a wary step back but meowed. He looked at Neil curiously. Mary, less prone to think so heavily about visitors, ran right up to him. Renee laughed a little. "Well, I hope kip warms up. Im not sure how to make him see them as members of the family instead of pests."

Neil gave a bubbly laugh as he played with Mary. These kids were fun!

"You've spoiled him so much, he'll probably never will." Jill smiled.

Mary laughed and rolled around with Neil. Maverick decided to join in and jumped on them both. "Wrestle!" He cried. Ginger wormed her way in between them all.

"Oh, he'll have to accept them. I'm sure he'll grow into having less attention." She frowned thoughtfully.

"And what if he doesn't?" Jill asked, a little worried over what her answer would be. Neil laughed happily as he played with the kittens. This was fun! It was like wrestling with tiny versons of Ed.

"I'd rather not consider it, but we might have to get rid of him." Renee sighed. She really did love the marten, but the safety of her kittens was more important.

Merrick finally joined and had Neil pinned in moments. Ginger and Mary were thrown out of the rough house and went to look at their 'aunt' jill. "Hewo." Ginger smiled. They were familiar with Jill.

Avaric was too, and trusted her. He came down from the couch and nuzzled her ankle.

"Hello you cute litle wall flower." Jill smiled as she picked up the little kitten. Neil laughed as he pinned Merrick easily. He was good at this game, he played it with Ed all the time!

Avaric smiled comfortabley. He nuzzled Jill. Mary giggled. She curled up in her 'aunt's' arms. "Where's uncle mikey?" She alsways called Myka 'mikey', and she was wall flower.

Ginger purred a little. She jumped up onto the couch and curled into the warm spot her mother had just left. Maverick kicked and tagged teamed with Merrick to get Neil off.

"On a mission with Uncle Buzz." Jill smiled at her. Myka had to return to work, but she was on maternity leave after having Neil. Neil whined angerly at the two cheating kittens and crawled off, he would have nothing to do with cheaters.

Mary smiled. "My Daddy's helping in the doctors office." She grinned, taking it as a big deal the way many kids did. Renee had fixed a room in the back of her shop to keep the kittens safe because she couldnt afford to stay home or leave them alone. The next day Jonah had volunteered to baby sit with Mary though.

Ginger was asleep on the part of the couch in no time. Merrick, looking slightly apologetic, came away from fighting with Maverick and followed Neil. Avaric stayed around his mother's legs, hiding.

Jill smiled and booped the kitten on the nose. "Is that so?" Neil crawled up to Avaric and waved at him, hoping to get the kitten to come out of hidding. He didn't look like a cheater like his two brothers.

Mary giggled. "Yup."

Avaric backed away from Neil nervously. "Waddu want?" He stayed curled around Renee.

"Oh baby doll, you need to be more social." The woman picked up her smallest son and sat him with Neil. She looked up at Jill. "Sorry, he's the runt of the litter."

"Don't be, it's fine." Jill hated it when people apologized for their children when they where shy or timid. It wasn't the kid's fault. Neil smiled as he pat Avaric's head gently, just his way of saying hello

Avaric backed away but looked a little less scared. "Okway." He frowned before moving foreward a bit.

Renee sighed. "Thanks jill," She just didnt want to offend anyone. She knew Avaric was shy and had hardly survived the first few days. The other kittens had run all over him.

Merrick's reptilian tail flicked a bit up and down and he went to the bookshelf, pulling out a bible. "Mwommy, read!" He whined. He loved when she read him the bible.

Jill smiled at her friend as she rubbed Mary's head. "How do your in laws like the kids?" She knew Jonah loved them, but didn't know about Mary. Neil smiled as he gently rubbed the kitten's ear.

renee frowned thoughtfully. “i dont really know what mary thinks of them she was rather harsh befire she saw them, but she's been very quiet. she won't talk to me.” it was a peculiar sight, mary being quiet and not ranting.

merrick whined more before carrying the book to jill. “wead!” he demanded, like he was asking for a meal.

"In a mintue honey," Jill smiled. "That must have been odd." Jill knew how Mary treated Renee, and was worried over how she'd treat the kids.

“yeah, and i dont know what to think of it. it makes uncomfortable with sending them over, but i know jonah cand watch her.”

merrick nodded and pouted. he took the worn leather book and sat next the ginger with it, paws crossed over the cover. “fwine, but i wanna wead.”
