Here's the description I wrote for this pic when I first made it)

Drew this in the wee hours of the morning. From 3 am to 4 am, I think. Couldn't go to sleep and couldn't think of anything to do, so EEZ suggested I draw Zurg.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THAT WONKY STAFF THING IS. DON'T ASK ME ITS SIGNIFICANCE, FOR IT HAS NONE.

Remember that burst of energy Zurg used in "The Adventure Begins" on his first appearance? He zapped the LGMs with it. But it never re-appeared in the series and that made me rather sad. I always wondered what it was. So here it is again in all its glory!

He's thinking of using it on Buzz. OBVIOUSLY.

Just practising on Zurg... I know I've made a hell of a lot of mistakes, but these are just rough sketches to get a feel for the character before I actually draw something out of my own imagination.

Most of the poses are from the episode "Lost in Time." Only one is from "The Adventure Begins." Do you guys remember which one?

And I just noticed that his teeth have the almost exact same structure in all pics! ...You don't want to see him when he's smiling. it just looks... unnaturally scary! xDD

So one day I decided to try practising drawing some BLoSC characters. Went through a bunch of stills I had and tried to replicate their faces in order to get a better feel for them. Some came out pretty good, others not so good, in my opinion. Evilyear gives me a Jafar vibe and when I was drawing Booster I was really reminded of a frog's basic design... oh, well, here you go! The ones I am most proud of are Nebula, XR, Warp, NOS, and maybe Booster. Enjoy~

Oh, why thank you! That's very nice of you two. But I'm still learning and have a long way to go! Bodies will come next... oh, boy. I'll probably get down to more art, proper art, once I graduate. Which mean this summer, hopefully? Smile

Steel, bravo! The last pic especially... Ha, I knew where you'd gotten about half your references from for it! At least, the animation styles, if not the actual episodes. I think that Mira, Booster, and XR are really impressive. (Remember that old St. Patrick's Day picture of mine? That was the best I ever drew Booster, and he was awful!)

Wow. I used to draw as much as i breathed, but i like this far more than my best. Wonderful. That one with zurg in six or so different positions is really a gem! You NOS-4-A-2 is really in-character as well as well-drawn.

Brilliant drawing Steel, your Zurg sketches in particular astonish me. I know that myself and many others use a different style when drawing these characters, but your mastered execution of the show's original style gives your drawings a brilliant sense of authenticity.

And yes, your sketchdump of Zurg is possibly the best of all of them!

The basic premise is that Zurg got badly injured and is limping his way to cover. He's clasping his hand and part of his cape to his abdomen to stem the blood flow.

I don't remember when I sketched this exactly. It's one of the many things I wanted to work on better at a latter date, but never managed to. As things are, I hope it stands well on its own~
