Renee was tired of being stuck on planet Z, hoping for rescue that may never come. Her one somewhat organic eye was glassy with boredom. Even if the new energy vampire had control of the planet with 'granpa' Zurg under her thumb, there was something missing- friends. she had finally made amends on Star Command just in time for this delightful mess. she wondered what they were thinking of her now...

Jill was looking out the window of Star Command as she worked on her computer. Her mind was a million miles away as she thought of her old friend Renee. Was she okay? How was she holding out? Did Zurg hurt her in anyway? She sighed as she looked to a photo frame on her desk. It was her as a little girl holding kitten Renee in her arms. She had always seen Renee as the baby sibling she had always wanted, always wanted but could never have...

XL came into Jill's office quietly and stood behind her for a minute, eyeing the picture frame jill held. He rubbed his hands together. "XRs been telling me about how evil Renee is again." He always came to jill when his brother started talking like that.

"She's not. She's just being forced to do evil." Jill said, eyes never once leaving the photo. "XR just can't remember what that's like." She sighed as she placed the frame down and went back to work. "So just do what I do and ignore him."

"Good idea." The bot sighed. "do you have any idea why no one's trying to rescue her yet? Even zurg said you-know-who wasnt even helping her when he called." He wished they would go on some heroic rescue mission and bring her back, healthy and happy again.

"Because everyone here holds grudges against people for way too long and have too much pride to admit it." Jill snapped as she typed harder on her keyboard. Her friend needed help and no one wanted to lift a finger and order a rescue mission.

XL sighed dejectedly again. "You think she really will kill me when she get's back?" He doubted it, knowing better, but still wanted the opinion of Renee's best friend. He was scared enough of energy vampire's as it was without XR filling up his head with ideas like that.

"She likes you too much for that." Jill said as she continued to work. "Your brother on the other hand, I'd be worried over." She joked with a smirk. "He's the one that should be worried."

XL chuckled faintly. "True, true." He tried to think positive when it came to things like that, like how funny it would be if she ended up killing zurg. "do you think she would call if she could?"

"In a heartbeat." Jill said. "She wouldn't leave us worrying if she could." She knew Renee would try to get in contact with them if she had the means and the oppertunity to do so.

Renee suddenly got the idea to call Star Command. If buzz didn't block her she could request rescue or at least get and SOS to jill. She called in for a vidcom and typed in jills number. she new it by heart and just hoped the girl would pick up.

Jill nearly jumped a foot in the air as the phone went off. She didn't know the number, but she answered it anyway. "Field Agent Jillian Lightyear here, how may I help you today," She froze when she saw the face pop up. "Renee?!"

"Jill!" Renee laughed. she was so glad to get ahold of her friend. The Zephyrite looked so different with her silvery hair and red eyes, but it was definitely her. "It's so good to see a familiar face again!"

"Renee!" Jill smiled. "Thank goodness you called! Where are you? We'll send a rescue team to your location at once!" She was so happy that she had proof that Renee wasn't evil and was indeed a hostage that needed to be saved from Zurg.

"Uh..." Renee looked around. "I'm kind of stuck on planet Z, but Zurg's completely powerless. I cant do anything about the hostile security system though." She smiled, accidentally showing off her fangs. XL peeped over jill's shoulder excitedly then

"Yeow, that had to hurt." Jill gringed at the sight of the metal teeth.

"Renee! You're okay!" XL squealed happily.

"Renee do you need to be rescued?" Jill asked. She needed to hear it to get the order for a rescue mission.

"Yeah, but not as much as, you now, getting bitten and all." Renee rubbed the back of her neck. The bitemarks were hidden by her cape. "But im fine, guys, and some rescue would be nice." She winked at XL. "I haven't forgotten about you hotbot."

XL smiled broadly at Renee as Jill got up. "Right, We'll set in the order for a rescue mission ASAP!" She said as she ran towards her father. XL looked back to the screen.

"We'll save you Renee, I promise."

Save, right. She thought. "thanks a million jill, im getting tired of sitting around here. But guess what?" she pointed out, making jill pause and look at thr screen curiously. "I have almost complete control of Planet Z. get this- Zurg is convinced hes my adonptive grandpa."

"The bucket head has always been out of his mind, but it's kind of complicated." Renee put a claw to her lip. "It's embarrasing, actually, because he's come to the conclusion that Nos is my second dad or something." She waited to see what XL thought of that.

"Gotta admit, that's a little out there. Even for Zurg." She said a little nervouse that Renee didn't want to be saved.
