Summer on Star Command, Part 1

Renee stared out the window of the viewing room. This was probably the quietest room in star command and loved it. Great for escaping the annying rangers, right? She carefully took off the cover of her bionic eye and began to wipe the dust off of it absently. It was just hanging out here while her dad was in training to be a ranger again, but man being stuck here everyday got old.

There was a soft footstep behind her and Renee jolted suddenly, dropping her eye and shattering the red glass inside the frame. "Look what you made me do-" She turned to scold whoever it was that had just 'snuck up' on her and realized it was someone she had never seen before.

Jill happily span in her chair in glee. "Vacation!" she happily sang as she filed a paper away. "Beach time fun in store for me!" She sang in her lovely voice as she thought she was alone.

"Who are YOU?" Renee looked back at the man. She wasnt sure she recognized him.

XR rolled up behind jill and tried to slip a candy bar out of her drawer while she wasn't looking.

Jill slammed the door on Xr's hand. "Nope." she casually said.

"Hey! I need that!" he tried to open the door and get his hand again. "Aw. come on, its the last one i get this week!"

"Shoulda thought of that when you tried to rob me." Jill said, a little embarrassed someone heard her sing.

"Aw MAN!" XR crossed his arms angrily.

Renee kept glaring at the man. He didn't say anything, just looked at her with a threatening smile. he had on a big dark green jacket. "The name's Torque baby." He grinned.

"Please?" XR held up his hand in a pleading gesture.

"Uh, I've heard the name before." Renee looked at the frame of her shattered eye and picked it up, placing the broked-glass lined frame back on her eye. "Criminal."

"Right, honey." He smirked, pulling a gun out from under his jacket. Renee tensed up and her ears laid back. "And I don't now you, but I think I just found my hostage."

"Nope." Jill sang. "Go get your lil girlfriend Renee to help you."

"NOT my girl friend." XR looked at his wrist stump of a wrist. "I'm not forgetting that she sold me out. But-" He frowned. "She does know her way around a bot."

"Uh... not good." Renee stood up, watching the gun barrel all the time.

"Thats it baby, nice and quiet like." Torque took her by the arm, pinning it behind her back.

An alarm went off down the hall, red lights flashing in every room. "Alright, everybody in the hall!" someone yelled from the back down the hall.

Down the hall was torque, holding Renee like a rag doll in the crook of one of his arms. He had a gun pressed to the side of her head. his other arms were on his hips, and he was smiling wickedly. There was a small battalion of his copies behind him. "Hey baby, can I join the party?" He looked down at Jill. The other rangers crowded in behind her.

"Torque, Put the girl down now!" Jill snapped as she raised her stun wrist laser.

"The girl has a name." Renee said. The laser pressed harder against her temple. A bead of sweat ran down her fur.

"Don't put your money on it." Torque squeezed the trigger gently, threatning to pull it all the way. "I'm here for lightyear."

"Wrong lightyear." He smirked again. "But blood relatives work." He moved his gun off the girls head and trained it on jillian.

Jill didn't once waver. "Afraid of getting your butt kicked by a little girl, Torquie?" She teased.

"Lemme go!" Renee shrieked, sinking her teeth suddenly into his thick arm.

Jill aimed her Stun Laser for someone around Booster's size and shot Torque right in the stomach.

"Gyah!" The big alien fired the laser involuntarily. And hit the floor with a loud crash. Renée was taken down with him, squashed under his weight.

"Help me!" She shrieked from under his bulk. This is worse than having the gun to my head!

"Sorry!" Jill said as she pushed Torque off her. She helped Renee up as Rangers took Torque away.

" Thanks." Renée looked at the big Man was hauled away. " What a way to start the summer, eh?" She rubbed the back of her neck and read the short sigh of relief. "Get held hostage by torque for 15 minutes Straight."
